He has been continuously involved in the film industry for more than ten years:
- participating in the provision of legal services to many film, television and advertising productions, representing producers, authors and other entities, including companies performing complex film production services on behalf of foreign producers
- advising on such productions as: 2012 Arbitrage (Richard Gere, Susan Sarandon), 2015 Disco Polo, 2016 Les Innocentes, 2018 Who Will Write Our History, 2019 Safe Inside, 2020 Valley of the Gods (John Malkovich), 2022 Infinite Storm (Naomi Watts), and series commissioned by, among others: Netflix, ZDF, Sky
- representing, among others, Łukasz Żal (twice nominated for the Oscars), Michał Marczak (Sundance Film Festival Best Director Award) and Monika Lenczewska (recognised by Variety magazine as "Top 10 Cinematographers to Watch" in 2016)
- specialising in legal services for film projects made with the support of the Polish cash rebate system
- acting as speaker at the Pro Industry workshops organised as part of the International Festival of Independent Cinema Mastercard OFF CAMERA.
He advises IT companies in their day-to-day operations, in particular in the creation and negotiation of implementation (including Agile projects), maintenance, EULA and SaaS agreements, as well as in their investment processes on the creation of smart contracts, and also in the processes of obtaining financing through ICO and IDO.
Tomasz Rytlewski has many years of experience in providing comprehensive legal services to commercial companies acquired in connection with providing legal assistance in their day-to-day operations, including while heading the legal department of a group of capital companies.
An important area of his practice is advising on corporate matters and during the negotiation and conclusion of business agreements, in particular those related to the implementation of investment processes. He participated in and managed numerous M&A projects representing the interests of domestic and foreign investors.
His other achievements and experience include:
- representing the interests of domestic and foreign entrepreneurs in litigation matters
- representing his clients in the course of negotiations, including those conducted between partners of commercial companies, as well as in court proceedings before courts of general jurisdiction, arbitration courts and the Supreme Court
- long-time membership of and chairing the supervisory boards of commercial companies
- winning the nationwide trainee advocates' oratorical competition (2006)
- winng the poll "Rising Stars. Lawyers – Leaders of Tomorrow" (2013) organised by the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna and Lexis Nexis publishing house
- Co-authorship of “Komentarz do ustawy o działalności leczniczej” (2013) (commentary to the Law on Medical Activity (2013) and “Komentarz do ustawy o rynku mocy” (2022) (commentary to the Law on the Power Market).
Prior to joining the GRK Adwokaci Team, Tomasz Rytlewski was a partner for a dozen or so years and, for several years, a managing partner of the law firm Porwisz and Partnerzy – Adwokaci i Radcowie Prawni.
He passed the bar exam with an excellent result and in first place.
